FPS Economy launches new website for all consumers: ConsumerConnect

Are you a victim of misleading practices? Do you regret a purchase or was your purchase not delivered? Does the product you bought show a defect?

The new ConsumerConnect website will help you as a consumer understand your rights and obligations and decide what action you can take.

This website replaces the consumer section of the FPS Economy Hotline. Companies can still report problems through the current Hotline.

How can ConsumerConnect help you?
  • Find information: you will find information about your rights as a consumer, broken down by topic. You can go directly to the topic pages or, be guided by our consumer guide.
  • Report something to us: if there is a breach of consumer protection legislation (for example, if you think you have been misled by a company during a purchase), you can very easily report it to the Economic Inspection of the FPS Economy.  
  • Mediation: do you have a dispute with a company and cannot find an agreement? Then you can appeal to an ombudsman service. They will then mediate with the company to find a solution to your problem. On ConsumerConnect, a number of questions will guide you to the right ombudsman service and their contact details.  
  • Ask a question: you can contact the Contact Centre of the FPS Economy by phone, e-mail, social media or using the online contact form.
